Frequently asked questions

How are months calculated when months have different lengths?
Month differences count complete calendar months. From January 31 to March 31 is 2 months exactly. From January 31 to March 28 is 1 month and 28 days, not quite 2 months.
Can I calculate business days excluding weekends and holidays?
Yes. Toggle 'Exclude weekends' to count only Monday–Friday. Custom holiday exclusion can be added by entering specific holiday dates to skip in the advanced options.
What is the maximum date range the calculator supports?
The calculator handles any date range supported by JavaScript's Date object — from the year 100 to year 275,760. For historical dates before 1582, note that the Gregorian calendar was not yet in effect.
